Google Earth Co-ordinates: Lat 52°11'52.56"N - Lon 0°48'10.31"W
Track: 400m, tight bends. Tarmac, steel plate fence, tarmac centrefield. Quick race turn round.
Formulas: F1, F2, bangers, Rebels, Saloons & V8's. Once saw hotrods there and was quite impressed until all the different colour flags came out during the race and I didn't know what day it was from then on.
Toilets: Acceptable but get worse the longer the meeting goes on, which could be down to the people who use them? Apparently the ladies get pretty bad at the big meetings, the Euros.
Viewing: Good all the way around except on the home straight, layered grass banking, no cover at all. You either get sunstroke, soaked to the skin or frozen to death. I remember one meeting where I got as close to the fence as possible to feed off the warmth of the F1 engines as they went past.
Parking: Excellent, adjacent to the track
Security: Discrete
Track Shop: Good, plenty of badges, stickers and stockcar souvenirs
Food & Drink: Good choice, not just burgers and chips. Hog roast. 2 bars. Probably best in the UK.
Pit access: Yes
Racing Quality: Can be excellent but also can be roundy roundy at times. Fast and low damage
Communication: PA good, commentary normally good
Irritating points: Over zealous stewarding, yellow flags come out when someone spills some coffee on the grass.
WOW Factor: Good atmosphere at the Europeans, but the recent low Dutch turn outs has detracted from it a bit.
Future: Well it's in the middle of nowhere and the owners could always threaten to sell to Tesco if there are any noise complaints...that should shut Farmer Giles up for a bit
