Track: 285m. Tiny with very tight bends. Shale with wire and post fence. Excellent track staff.
Formulas: F1. F2, Modstox, bangers, V8's, 1300 saloons etc.
Toilets: In the bar inside or under the main grandstand.
Viewing: Poor. Good view in grandstand but lacks atmosphere. Grass bank on 1st bend.
Parking: Pay car park in stadium confines, patrolled parking outside.
Security: Usual GRA staff, but slightly less intrusive than in previous years.
Track Shop: No, but usual caravan of racecar oriented stalls, overalls, helmets, Stockcar magazine, videos etc.
Food & Drink: Two bars. I am assured the food is reasonable.
Pit access: Yes.
Racing Quality: Considering how small and tight the track is, it can provide quite exciting racing.
Communication: PA is poor in some areas, information sparce when there is a hold up.
Irritating points: Max and Paddy factor. Thick green mesh to protect dog track means you only see the tops of the cars from trackside.
WOW Factor: Some recent good meetings.
Future: Adjacent to a council housing estate. Future of motor racing at any inner city track is precarious due to noise abatement, although a new short term licence has just been renewed for Belle Vue.
