Why the name Kroonder on Sheffstox? Well, George Kroonder (below right), the father of Ron Kroonder, is the son of George Kroonder senior, who was the second husband of my partner's mother's sister, Tante Ot, who came over from Indonesia in 1956. George Kroonder Senior was a talented artist who could make impressive copies of some of the old Dutch masters. George Snr has been dead for a long time now. I found a photo of George Jnr on Tante Ot's sideboard whilst she was living in Zwanenburg, nr Amsterdam. When my partner found out about Ron Kroonder, she was curious due to her Tante's name being Kroonder Hes. At the 2001 Euros at NIR she asked George and then Ron if they knew Tante Ot and discovered that were relatives once removed. Tante Ot is 91 now, living in sheltered accomodation in Leiden, but still has that picture of George Kroonder on her sideboard. See here below right.         Photo album update in progress
