Queensland stockcars ran the first night of the Australian Championship on Saturday 23rd Jan. Shane French (37pts) has a slim lead over Dudley Ward (34) and Dennis Fabian (31). Heat results here. Aussie champs points-to-date here.

Just a reminder that stockcar racing can be dangerous. Melton Mowbray driver Dave Nickolls #242 suffered a fractured pelvis and a collapsed lung as well as vertebrae injuries at Coventry on Saturday as a result of a race incident. He is at home now recovering. We wish him well.
The very best wishes also go to Rich Masterson who has had follow up treatment to his chemotherapy.
